Mr. Edmund Malley, husband of Margaret Malley, of Chatham Head, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at his residence, at the age of 84.
Edmund was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Vautour) Malley and worked as a carpenter. He attended the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Chatham Head.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; two daughters Theresa (Edgar Comeau) of Old Ferry Rd, and Carolyn Carter of Newcastle; four sons Edmund (Janice) of Douglasfield, Rod (Karen) of Russellville, Tim (Lettie) of Ontario, and Todd of Old Ferry Rd; two sisters Jeannette Chiasson of Dalhousie, and Lena McCafferty of Ontario; two half sisters Christina Savoy of Dalhousie, and Roseanna of Rogersville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 7 to 9, and on Friday, July 24, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary,at 10 am, with Father Bob McGuire officiating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Extra Mural & Palliative Care Program, or to a donation of ones choice.
