Mr. Harold Fletcher passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday January 14, 2008 at the age of 79.

Born in Nelson Miramichi, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa (Phee) Fletcher.Harold was involved in baseball and he played with the Chatham Head Tigers. In later years he was active with the Miramichi Valley Baseball League, the Chatham Head Old Timers. He was also a volunteer fireman with the Nelson Fire Department. He was a heavy equipment operator and attended St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church.

Besides his wife Eleanor (MacDonald) Fletcher, he is survived by one daughter Karla McGraw (Robert) of South Esk.; one son Marvin (Yvonne) of Ottawa; two sisters Margaret Carroll of Nowlanville and Rita Smith of Massachusetts; two grandchildren Kyle McGraw and Jade Fletcher and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Marvin, Edward, Bernie, Benny and Raymond; sister’s Mary McCarthy and Theresa Duffy.
