John (Jack) Anthony Vickers, of Howard, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at his residence, at the age of 74.

He was the son of the late John Daniel and Alice (Hogan) Vickers and attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church.

He is survived by his two sisters Christina Vickers and Anna Vickers both of Howard; one brother Howard, of Miramichi; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters Mary and Margaret, and three brothers Bill, Lloyd, and Martin.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the father AA McKinnon Memorial Room, in Blackville, on Friday evening, October 2, 2009, from 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at 2 pm, from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, in Howard, with Father Vincent Donovan officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
