Mr. John Joseph Hines, of Miramichi, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 67.

John was the son of the late Patrick and Beatrice (Boudreau) Hines and worked as a grocery manager. He attended the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Chatham Head.

He is survived by his wife Gertie (Morrissey); two daughters Christy (fiance Jeff Keating) and Kelsey, both of Miramichi; one sister Katie (Gerald Vienneau) of Miramichi; and one brother Wilf (Sharon) of Toronto, Ontario.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister Clare Worsfold.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, August 21, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Vigil prayers will be held at 1:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2009,at 11 am, from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with Father Bob McGuire officiating.
