  • Mr Willard (Bill) Murray died peacefully in his sleep, on Monday, August 3, 2009, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 68.

    Bill was the son of the late Lawrence Murray and Marion (MacLeod) of Tabusintac. He was retired from NB Power, after 23 years, and attended St Andrew’s United Church, in Tabusintac. He was also active on the Board of Managers for St Andrew’s United Church.

    Bill was an avid outdoorsman especially enjoying time with family at the farm or in the woods.

    He is survived by his mother Marion, his wife Kathleen (Kelly), one daughter Shelley (Mark Mills) of Fredericton; one son Jody of Grand Prairie, Alberta; five sisters Rubena Price (Stan) of Tabusintac, Edna Price (Robert) of Miramichi, Janice Russell (Blake) of Tabusintac, Eunice (Egar) of Nevada, and Ruth Camerand (John) of Victoria Harbour, Ontario.; five brothers Alden (Theresa) of Toronto, Jack (Opal) of Tabusintac, Lee (Darlene) of Tabusintac, Ralph (Lorraine) of Tabusintac, and Neil (Barb) of Tabusintac; three stepdaughters Pamela Duplessis (Chris) or Miramichi, Andrea Casey (Carl) of Grand Manan, and Jennifer Brown of Miramichi; two stepsons Christopher Brown (Laura) of Halifax, and Timothy Brown (Annette) of Fredericton; three grandchildren Ryan and Carley Mills, and Christian Murrary; nine step grandchildren Sydney, Aidan, Olivia, and Cecelia Casey, Daryn , Ethan, and Drew Duplessis, and Jasper and Rian Brown; as well as several nieces and nephews.

    Besides his father, he is predeceased by his first wife Eleanor McAllister, one son Toby, and one sister Lorraine (Keith) MacKnight.

    The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 7 to 9, and on Wednesday from St Andrew’s United Church, in Tabusintac, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 2 pm, from St Andrew’s United Church, with Reverend J.D. Kennedy officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St Andrew’s United Church, Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Extra Mural a& Palliative Care Program.
