Bridget Alice Lynch, wife of the late Joseph F. Lynch, of Nowlanville, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, at the age of 89.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ellen (Desmond) Dolan. She was a retired teacher and a member of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.
She will be sadly missed by her loving family, four sons Frank (Elaine) of Barnaby River, Nick (Judy), David (Edna) and Pat (Andrea), three daughters Rose Cooke (Christopher), Joanne Traer (Daryl), and Louise Comeau all of Miramichi, 20 grandchildren; Brad, Patrick, Timothy, Bernard, Jill, Jennifer, Tracy, Joey, Michael, Tony, Carey, Ellen, Michelle, Joseph, Dale, David, Jason, Christopher, and Alison; 23 great grandchildren; five sisters Mary McBride of Winnipeg, Louise Werstiuk (Bill) of Edmonton, Dorothy McCarthy (Vince), Lourdes Connell, and Betty Clancy all of Miramichi; one brother Frank Dolan of Rodney, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Joseph (1973), she was predeceased by son-in-law Rennie Comeau; two sisters Celia Lordon and Theresa, and three brothers Desmond, Leonard, and Jimmy.
Visitation will be at Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 7 to 9 and on Friday, October 2, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, in Nelson, at 11 am, with Father McQuade officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Retired teachers are asked to meet at the church at 10:30 to form an honor guard.
In Alice's memory, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or to St Patrick's Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
