Mrs. Clara Kirkpatrick, widow of Blair L. Kirkpatrick, of Douglastown, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday December 20, 2007 at the age of 88.

Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elsbeth (MacLean) Currie. She was a switch board operator for the Miramichi Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church.

Clara is survived by four sons Bud (Denise) of Ottawa, Dan (Kay), Tom (Peggy) and Hugh (Vera Duthie) all of Douglastown; three daughters Joan Menzies (Frank) of Whitney, Elizabeth Gallant of Douglastown and Tass Matheson (Dee Dee) of Douglastown; two sisters Elsie MacMillan of Millbank and Jenny Brown (Mac) of Calgary; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Elmer and Bob Currie; two sisters Cass Shaw (Younker) and Marg Sutherland.
