Mrs. Irene Paul, wife of the late Jackie Paul, of Eel Ground, passed away on Wednesday, at the Mount St Joseph Nursing Home, at the age of 73.

Irene was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary Jane (Matthew) Ward. She was a homemaker and attended St Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank.

She is survived by three daughters Victoria (Stephen Ginnish) of Eel Ground, Toni (Steven Norton) of Red Bank, and Delphine (Lyman Larocque) of Quebec; two sons John and Rubin, both of Red Bank; five sisters Philomina Ward of Eel Ground, Jane Simonson of Eel Ground, Malian Ward (Burton) of Red Bank, Barbara Issacc (Gordon) of Restigouche, and Lucy Martin (Richard) of Eel Ground; six brothers Tom (Mary Jane), John, Joe, Albert (Sharon), Wilfred (Shirley), Anthony, and Raymond, all of Eel Ground; two aunts Lucy Vicaire and Bertha Barnaby; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by her husband John Henry (Jackie), one son Preston, one sister Mary; and two brothers Patrick and Freeman.
