Mrs. Mabel Curtis, wife of the late Currie Curtis, of Blackville, passed away on Monday February 16, 2009, at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, at the age of 80.
Mabel was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Coughlan) Curtis and she worked as a cook.
Mabel is survived by her two daughters Sheila (Alvin) Kelly, of Gray Rapids, Iona (Dale) Coughlan, of Gray Rapids; three sons Borden (Glenna) of Gray Rapids, Dale (Rose) of Gray Rapids, Blaine (Wilma) of Barnettville; three sisters Ruth Gallan of Chelmsford, Ella Gallan of Gray Rapids, Vearyl Mountain of Gray Rapids; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Currie Curtis; five brothers Norris, Albert, Roy, Elmer, and Arnold; one sister Elva MacDonald; and three brother-in-laws Perry Gallan, Harry Gallan, and Percy Mountain.
