Mrs. Marina Griffiths, wife of the late James Griffiths, of Blackville, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at her residence, at the age of 76.

Marina was the daughter of the late Eneas Gillcash and Ruth Cassidy. She was the former owner of Burke's Diner, and attended St Andrew's United Church, in Blackville. She was also a member of Lady's Auxiliary Royal Canadian.

Marina is survived by her two daughters Wendy (Donald) Underhill, of Blackville, and Susan (Kirk) Berube, of Moncton; two brothers Earl (Evelyn) of British Columbia, and Glenn (Zinnia) of Edmonton; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the United Church Hall, in Blackville, on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 2-4, and 7-9. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 2 pm, from St Andrew’s United Church, in Blackville, with Reverend Jim Postlewaite officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Blackville United Church Choir, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
