Mrs. Mary Jane Hamilton, wife of the late Freeman Hamilton, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2009, at the Miramichi Senior Citizen's Home, at the age of 97.

She was the daughter of the late Edward and Nellie (Stewart) Travis and attended the Little Southwest Baptist Church, in Sillikers.

She is survived by her sons Winfield (Faye) of Whitneyville and Fred (Barb) of Miramichi; one sister Margaret; three grandchildren Paul, Marianne, and Kristy; and six great grandchildren Katie, Robbie, Jonathan, Sydnee, Kylee, and Jake.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Freeman, six brothers Sydney, Wilbur, Donald, Moses, Harold, and Nean; and two sisters Bernetta and Charlotte.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Little Southwest Memorial Fund, Alzheimer’s Society, or to the Miramichi Senior Citizen's Home.
