Mrs. Ruth Cobb of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday January 5, 2009 at the age of 84.

Born in England, Ruth came to Canada as a war bride. She was a home maker and attended Newcastle United Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters Barb Hamilton (Fred) of Miramichi, Ruth Flynn (Chet) of B.C., Phyllis Young (Temple) of Woodstock and Sandra Carroll (Brian) of Miramichi; two sons Billy (Janet) of Miramichi and Stephen (Shelley) of Miramichi; two brothers David and Michael both of England; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband William she was predeceased by three brothers Denis, Philip and Brian; one sister Margaret and one grandson Troy.
