Mrs. Winnifred Stewart, of Miramichi, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2009, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 76.

Winnifred was the daughter of the late John Reginald and Mary Ester (Ullock) White. She was retired from the Miramichi Hospital and attended St Andrew’s Anglican Church. She was also a member of Cupe #865 Miramichi Hospital.

Winnifred is survived by four daughters Claudia Stewart, Nancy Stewart, Winnie Stewart Fitzpatrick, and Carrie Lynn Sherwood, all of Miramichi; three sons Myles (Kathy) of Cassilis, Reggie (Susan) of Maple Glen, and Laurie (Linda) of Chelmsford; two sisters Darith (Audrey) White of Miramichi, and Cheryl White of Saskatchewan; three brothers Gary of Miramichi, Johnny of Miramichi, and Sonny of British Columbia; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister Shirley, and two brothers Jim, and Frank.
