Mary Muriel Francis, of Eel Ground, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the age of 69.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of Josephine (Tenass) and the late Phillip Francis. She was a homemaker, an avid bingo player, and a member of St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.

Muriel is survived by one son Troy Francis (Wendy Allison) of Eel Ground; three sisters Norma (Don Prianti), Jackie (David Kelly), and Corinne Francis (Clinton Gillis) all of Eel Ground; two brothers Allan Francis and Karl Francis both of Eel Ground; two grandchildren Ethan and Chloe Jean Francis; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her father, Phillip Francis, her sister Margaret Ward, her nephew Colin Ward, and her niece Sharon Ward.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 2 pm, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.
