Nancy Elizabeth (Gould) Gallan, formerly of Sackville, NB, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 61.
Born in Sackville, she was the daughter of Peggy Gould and the late Joe Gould. She worked at Drew Nursing Home, in Sackville, as a Licensed Practical Nurse before her retirement.
She was an avid curler, a member of the curling club, and also coached Little Rocks as part of the Sackville Curling Club. She enjoyed karaoke, playing cards, and her weekly "stitch and bitch" group!
She will be greatly missed by her husband Keith Gallan of Gray Rapids; three sons Richard (Alison) of Moncton, Matthew (Terry) of Sackville, and Michael (Katherine) of Fredericton; her mother Peggy Gould of Sackville; four sisters Joan (Steven), Judy Gionet, Carole (Russell Sears) and Jill (Ray Leger) all of Sackville; three brothers Henry (Cynthia), David (Cheryl), and John (Cathy) all of Sackville; three stepdaughters Cheryl Gallan (Cory) of Alberta, Jill (Stephen) and Lacey (Devin) both of Blackville; four grandchildren Riley, Benjamin, Olivia, an Lillian; seven step grandchildren Burke, Robyn, Richard, Summer, Brandee, Jack, and Katee; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her brother Jim Gould and her brother-in-law George Gionet.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, from 2 to 7 pm and from Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, from 2 to 6 pm.
Your presence is appreciated and will be meaningful to the family, however, direct eye contact, loving words, and a warm smile are as meaningful to the family as a traditional handshake or hug.
A private family interment will take place at Sackville Rural Cemetery.
