It is with heavy hearts the family of Natalie Frances Malone announce her passing on Monday, September 6, 2021.
Natalie, Mom, was a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, Chatham. A passionate nurse, Mom loved every minute spent nursing at Chatham Hotel Dieu, Mount Saint Joseph as well as Victoria General Hospital, Fredericton. Mom’s love of nursing was only surpassed by her love of hockey. The “Original” Hockey Mom, her best days were spent at rinks cheering on our Dad at Saint Thomas College and Senior Hockey and her boys - sons and grandsons from their minor hockey days to becoming professionals.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, William Malone. With Dad, Mom teasingly said they had “five perfect children”, daughters, Dorothy Innes (Roy), Susan Moir (Clarke), Kathleen Kelly Malone Huckins (Phil); sons, Greg Malone (Terri) and Jim Malone (Vicky).
Her love of family was extended with grandchildren, Jill Lorenzc, Brian Harriman, Ryan Malone, Mark Malone, Jonathan Moir, Justin Moir, Bradley Malone, Brett Malone and Cole Huckins.
Nan Malone was a proud great-grandmother to Brooklynn Lorenzc, Lilly Lorenzc, Ben Harriman, Emily Harriman, Will Malone, Cooper Malone, Natalie Malone, Emma Malone, Harper Malone, Banks Malone and Cali Malone.
Mom loved to keep all the family supplied with their favourites - apple pies, scotch cakes, knit sweaters and socks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Michael’s Basilica, Miramichi on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11 am. A reception will follow at Tyra's Infinity Centre, 1 Marina Dr., Miramichi, and all are welcome to attend.
Thank you to Shannex Fredericton for their friendship over the last eight years. Special thanks to Hospice Fredericton for their excellent and very thoughtful care.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice Fredericton.
