Noreen Frances (Dickson) Flett, of Upper Derby, passed away at her residence, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the age of 89.
Born in Upper Derby, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Sarah Jane (Harper) Dickson. She was a homemaker and a member of St Mark's United Church, in Quarryville. She was also a 25 year member of the U.C.W.
She will be greatly missed by her husband John Flett; two daughters Linda White (late Leo) of Millerton and Carolyn (Sean Dawson) of Riverview; two sons Glenn (Betty Lou Matchett) of Bathurst and Roger Flett of Moncton; two granddaughters Melyssa and Kaitlyn Dawson; three sisters-in-law Edna Manderville (late Sterling), Eleanor Hoglund (late Wendell) and Eva Flett (late Harold); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Noreen was predeceased by her first husband Guy Matchett; sisters Christine Sherrard and Audrey Jardine; and brothers Arnold James and Everett Dickson.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, at 11 am, with Wendell Gregan officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Saunders Cemetery or to the Extra Mural Program.
