Noreen Alberta (Coughlan) Sullivan, of Gray Rapids, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the age of 81.

Born in Gray Rapids, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nora (Sturgeon) Coughlan. Noreen worked as a cook until her retirement.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Willa (Angus Curtis) of Gray Rapids; two sons Burton Sullivan of Blackville and Glenn Sullivan (Deanna) of Gray Rapids; five sisters Freda (Keith Greenhalgh) of Calgary, AB, Valerie (Leslie Stewart) of White Rapids, Pauline (Blaine Underhill) of Barnettville, Donna Curtis (Herbie Barry) of Blackville, and Marilyn (Norman Urquhart) of Barnettville; five brothers Cameron Coughlan (Carolyn) of Blackville, Wayne Coughlan (Tanya) of Moncton, Reginald Coughlan (Claudia) of Doyle's Brook, Danny Coughlan (Bev) of Gray Rapids, and Preston Coughlan (Karen) of Gray Rapids; brother-in-law Hayward Sturgeon of Miramichi; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Douglas Sullivan; daughter Wanda Curtis; and sister Vida Sturgeon.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Monday, October 19, 2020, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A private family funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick McFadyen officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Association.
