Norma Katherine (Sherrard) Corcoran, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully and finally got to go home, on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 82.
Born in South Nelson, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Margaret (Dawson) Sherrard. Norma spent a few years working at Kingsway Restaurant and was a member of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.
She will be greatly missed by her six daughters Faye O'Neill (David) of Chelmsford, Julie Balogh (Eddy) of St Leonard, Dawn Corcoran of Ontario, Karen Corcoran of Douglasfield, Cindy Corcoran of Ontario, and Shirley Stewart (Bruce) of Douglasfield; four sons Patrick Corcoran of Ontario, Randy Corcoran of Ontario, David Corcoran (Donna) of Rogersville, and Robert Corcoran (Kim) of Madrin; one sister Judy Crosse (Mike) of Nelson; one brother David Sherrard (Muriel) of Miramichi; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Peter Corcoran; four sons Joey, Paul, Gordie, and Stevie; two brothers Allan and Tommy; and her sister Shirley.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 11 am, at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Anthony Dass Papu officiating. Interment will take place following the service in the church cemetery.
