Norma Mary Simpson, age 74 of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully on June 4th, 2018 at the Georges L Dumont Hospital.

Originally from Newcastle, she was the wife of the late Robert Simpson and the daughter of the late Norman and Mary (Keating) Matchett.

Predeceased by her brothers, Art, Vincent, Clayton, Allie, Reggie and her sisters, Rosalie (Duguay), Florine Anne and Florence Marie.

She is survived by her children, Robert John and Brenda Lee and special son in law Daniel (Roy), all of Moncton; two sisters, Brenda Matchett and Celine Blacquiere, both of Dieppe; brother Robert Matchett of Derby Junction; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dre. Nathalie Cyr for always taking such great care of Mom. You were her angel.

We thank the kind and compassionate doctors and nurses along Mom's journey. The Extra Mural Program for providing the support needed to have Mom home with us. Her two care givers, Josette and Heather for loving and caring for Mom during her last two months at home. We also want to thank everyone for all of their thoughts and prayers.

As Mom had such a strong faith and love for God, we also have to thank Him for the many blessings given to Mom throughout her lifetime. We also have to thank Him for giving us such a wonderful Mother. We will miss you Mom.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 on Saturday morning, June 9th, 2018, from St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Eel Ground, officiated by Father Peter Stephen of Saint John. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, in Newcastle.
