Norman Joseph Tucker, of Pineville, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the age of 90.
Born in Pineville, he was the son of the late Willard and Agatha (Hogan) Tucker. Prior to retirement, he was a tow truck driver, a school bus driver, and a mechanic. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Renous Fire Department and a member of St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Yvonne (McInnis) Tucker of Pineville; daughters Mary Tucker-Bugg (Mike) of Trenton, ON and Agatha Hill (Jimmy) of Miramichi; sons Timothy Tucker of Miramichi, Kimberley Tucker (Corinne) of Alberta, and Andrew Tucker of Saint John; two brothers Clayton Tucker (Late Madeline) of Renous and Reg Tucker of Edmonton, AB; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Yvonne and Philomena; and brothers Oland, David, Greg, Laird, and Jim.
The family will receive relatives and friends from St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, in Renous, on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11 am, at St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Paul Doucet officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
