It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Norman Urquhart who passed away at his late residence with his family by his side, on November 17th, 2021, at the age of 67.
Born in Barnettville, he was the son of Paul and Aldine (MacDonald) Urquhart. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for M.F. Esson, Repap, and retired from Springhill Infrastructure. He was lifelong member of the New Life Pentecostal Church, Blackville.
He will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man with a great sense of humor. He always drove a nice car. He enjoyed watching the Toronto Maples Leafs on TV.
He will be greatly missed by his Wife, Marilyn; one son, Jamie (Sandie) Urquhart of Barnettville; three sisters Wilma (Blaine) Curtis of Barnetteville, Winnie (Benny) Gillis of Barnettville, and Tanya (Stephen) Priest of Fredericton; one brother Perry (Angele) Urquhart of Woodstock, Ontario; brother-in-law Dwayne Curtis of Barnettville; and two granddaughters Jensen and Reese Urquhart as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides parents, he was also predeceased by his sister Viona Curtis.
The family will receive relatives and friends from New Life Pentecostal church on November 19th, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on November 20th, 2021 at 2 pm with Pastor Lester Mitchell officiating.
