  • Pamela (Stemm) Hachey, of Eel Ground, passed away on April 18th, at the age of 51.

    Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, she was the daughter of John Stemm and Joyce Paul. She worked as an Aboriginal Mi’kmaq artist. Pam was a very proud Mi’kmaq woman who honoured her culture. She cherished her family and friends. She never left without saying “I love you”. Pam enjoyed her traditional May flower picking with her family. Generous, considerate and loved by everyone, Pam always showed kindness. Her artwork, beadwork and native designs were sought out by many. Most of all she loved her husband, children and her five dogs. Pam will be sadly missed . We love you too!

    She will be greatly missed by her husband, Paul Hachey of Eel Ground; daughter Winter Jewel of Eel Ground; three sons Evan Stemm and Jesse Stemm both of Eel Ground and Mathieu Hachey (Cheyenne) of Moncton; four sisters Kim Somerville, Amy Romeo and Marlena Stemm all of Eel Ground and Marcia Stemm of Bristol, Connecticut; two brothers Richard Stemm (Big Hole Tract) and John Paul of Eel Ground; granddaughter Emily Hachey; Nephews; Roger Stephen Augustine, Christopher Romeo, Matthew Romeo, Michael Stemm, Braden Simon, Bill Ward, the late Craig Ward Paul, and Nieces; Lala Stemm, Brittany Ward, Mercedes Stemm, Angel Romeo, Ashleigh Stemm, Gina Levi, Becky Levi, Charlene Levi, Emilee Stemm, Mackenzie Stemm and many great nieces and nephews.

    Besides parents, she was also predeceased by special grandmother Marie Fretts and her geggunawet Karen Snow from Watertown, Connecticut.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday April 23, 2019, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A celebration will be held on April 24, 2019, at 11am, at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Pam’s family towards the funeral expenses.
