Paul Laurence Mullin

March 12, 1947 — May 21, 2024

Paul Laurence Mullin, of South Esk, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at Percy's Place, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 77.

Born in Boom Road, he was the son of the late Marshall and Mary (McAllister) Mullin, and a member of the Boom Road Pentecostal Church. He worked at Burchill's Plywood Mill until 1990 and UPM Kymmene Mill as a Security Guard from 1995 until the closure of the mill.

Paul looked forward to his summer's at the cottage at East Point, in Napan, NB, where he enjoyed his family and cottage friends.

The family wish to thank Dr. McGillivray and Dr. Losier, as well as the staff at Percy's Place, for their exceptional care and compassion, and for always going above and beyond.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Margaret (Barry) Mullin of South Esk; son Jason Mullin (Kelsey Jardine) of Miramichi; daughter Janna Stewart (Tyler) of Strathadam; grandchildren Ava Kathleen Stewart of Strathadam and Jaden Paul Mullin of Miramichi; sister Mabel McGuire of Miramichi; sisters-in-law Blanche Mullin, Christina Mullin, and Carmel (Calvin) Baisley; brothers-in-law Boyd Barry and Patrick (Marjorie) Barry; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Wilson Mullin, Elwin Mullin, and Daniel Mullin; sisters Jessie McAllister, Nelda Mullin, and Vera Porter; brothers-in-law Lorne McAllister, Wilbur Mullin, Samuel McGuire, John Preston, and Jackie Barry; and sisters-in-law Gladys Mullin and Kathleen Preston.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 3 pm, from Boom Road Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Jody Holmes and Rev. Tom Ettinger officiating. Interment will take place in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Percy's Place, Boom Road Pentecostal Church, Hugs for Kids, or to a memorial of one's choice would be appreciated.
