Mr. Raymond Smallwood, of Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 78.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Albert and Beulah Smallwood, and worked as a truck driver.
Raymond is survived by his longtime partner Juliette Driscolle; two daughters Dana (Stephen) Allison of Trout Brook, and Sandra (Merlin) Jardine of Maple Glen; six sons Hazen (Donna) Smallwood of Maple Glen, Blake Smallwood of Maple Glen, Lindsay (Shannon) Smallwood of Yellowknife, NT, Rance (Carmeline)Smallwood of Miramichi, Stephen (Kathy) Smallwood of Ottawa, ON., and Kevin (Sara) Smallwood of Fredericton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother Willis Smallwood of Thunder Bay, ON.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, November 18, 2010, from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 10 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Leslie Beddoe and Murray Edgar officiating.
Interment will take place in the Maple Glen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maple Glen Cemetery Fund.
