Reginald "Reggie" Willis Harris

September 21, 1960 — May 14, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Reginald “Reggie” Willis Harris of South Esk, announce his passing on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of 63.

Born in Newcastle, NB on September 21, 1960, he was the son of the late Keith and Frances (Hare) Harris of Sunny Corner, NB.

He was an employee of Heath Steele and Brunswick Mines for 20+ years. Throughout his lifetime he also worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was also the owner of H & J Paintball Shop.

Reggie was always willing to lend a helping hand or even a wrench if needed. He had a wide range of passions and hobbies from watching racing, boating, fishing, to just simply tinkering in the garage. He loved classic cars and had a growing hat collection. If he liked it enough, he would take it right off your head. He also enjoyed collecting old coins and postage stamps.

He will be greatly missed by Tammy (Bateman) Harris, daughter Holly Harris (Jimmy Hachey) of Miramichi and son Jordan Harris of Miramichi.  He will also be missed by friend Diane Richard and her daughter Julie Haché; and his “fur” friends Duke, Daisy, and Babies. Reggie leaves behind his six sisters Elsie Woods of Miramichi, Julianne Bruce of Alberta, Carolyn Howe (Brian) of Oromocto, Margaret Harris (Paul) of Miramichi, Ruth Matchett (Roger) of Miramichi, and Jean Matchett (Roderick) of Sunny Corner; three brothers Graham Harris (Susan) of Newfoundland, Ross Harris of Ontario, and Blake Andrew "Andy" Harris (Marina) of Newfoundland; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Nancy Howe; and two nephews Randy John Howe, and Christopher Clinton Matchett.

In keeping with Reggie’s wishes, a private funeral service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at St Stephen's United Cemetery, in Red Bank, NB.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Miramichi SPCA or a memorial of ones choice.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home & Crematorium, 102 Pleasant St, telephone (506) 622-7741. Where your loved one never leaves our care.
