Richard Murray Curtis, of Gray Rapids, passed away at home, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the age of 65.
Born in Gray Rapids, he was the son of Arnold and Alleen (Coughlan) Curtis, and a member of Saint Agnes Anglican Church.
He was a woodworker and worked in Ontario, and he was also a part time fishing guide on the Miramichi River for more than 50 years. In his later years, he worked at Gallan's Tubing. He loved hunting season and enjoyed spending time with his many friends.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Christalee Curtis (Kevin Nash) of Gray Rapids; son Raymond Curtis; grandchildren Chandler Nash, Tamicka Nash, and Martina Nash; three brothers Preston Curtis (Michelle) of White Rapids, Dwaine Curtis (Late Viona) of Barnettville, and Audrey Curtis of Gray Rapids; sister Helen Curtis (Allen) of Millerton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lot of special friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lilah (Tucker) Curtis; grandson Blake Hallihan; and brother Raymond Curtis.
The family will receive relatives and friends from St Agnes Anglican Church, in Gray Rapids, on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11 am, from St Agnes Anglican Church, with Father Gerry Laskey officiating.
