Richard Morris Jr.

Richard Morris Jr., of Bellefond, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 65.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Richard and Yvonne (Benoit) Morris. He was a woodsmen and a member of Paroisse de L'Ascension Roman Catholic Church, in Beaverbrook. Junior loved to be outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to joke and torment those he loved, and was always the life of the party.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Julia (Duplessis) Morris of Bellefond; daughter Jennifer Morris (Adam) of Bellefond; three sisters Claudette (Fred) of Napan, Camillia (Willard) of Miramichi, and Jeannine of Ontario; three brothers Claude (Louise) of Bellefond, Paul (Connie) of Blackville, and Aurel (Paulette) of Campbellton; many sisters and brothers in law; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Northumberland Funeral Home from 12 to 1:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm, at Northumberland Funeral Home, with Father Cornelius officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
