Russell David Jardine, of Warwick Settlement, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.

Born on July 26, 1936, he was the son of the late George and Bertha (Garrish) Jardine. He worked at the mines and was self-employed as a wood contractor before his retirement.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Shirley of Warwick Settlement; four daughters Rose-Marie (Keith Sunmor) of South Esk, Vickey Hay (Mark) of Kingston Peninsula, Ellen Hallihan (Emerson) of Moncton, and Angela Miller (Gerald) of Hilltop; four sons James (Karen) of Cassilis, Craig (Tracy) of Saint John, Jason (Christine) of Miramichi, and Christopher (Benita) of Whitney; two brothers Paul (Anne-Marie) and Harold (Nicky) both of Warwick Road; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Russell was predeceased by an infant brother Craig and an infant sister Beatrice.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A private family service will be held from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, February 15, 2013. Interment will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery at a later date.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association, or to a memorial of one's choice.
