Ruth Jessie Walls, of Blackville, passed away at her residence, on Monday, October 28, 2013, at the age of 79.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Jean (MacDonald) Sutherland and worked for the school board in Waterloo, Ontario, until her retirement. Ruth was also a member of St Andrew's United Church, in Blackville.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Allan Walls, of Blackville; two brothers Larry (Pat) and Bill (Beryl); three brother-in-laws Keith (Bernadette), Godie (Linda), and Reg (Eilleen); three sister-in-laws Sharon (Gerald), Jean (Donny), and Helen (Harold); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son Daniel, her brother Johnny, and her sister Maureen.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 2 pm, from St Andrew's United Church, with Rev. Penny Postlethwaite officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
