Sheila Marie McKay, of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Bay du Vin, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 74.

Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Scott) McLenaghan. She was a health care provider at Leaside Grove in Bay du Vin for over 10 years and a Home Maker for the Red Cross for 20 years prior to that. She was a member of St John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Bay du Vin and a member of Bay du Vin W.I.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Ann McKay (Troy Knowles) of Miramichi; two sons John (Jo-Anne Holland) and Larry (Kellie) both of Bay du Vin; sister Ruth Daley (Douglas) of Oromocto; brother Scott McLenaghan (Carolyn) of Napan; six grandchildren Marcus, Tyler, Tyson, Colton, Colbie and Jordan; two great grandchildren Maddox and Mae; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Burton McKay; and two sons Scott McKay and Jamie Lee McKay.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, August 29, 2021, from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 2 pm, from St Johnn the Evangelist Anglican Church in Bay du Vin with Father Robert Barry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
