Sherry Lee Young, of Miramichi, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 42.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of David and Clare (Lynch) Young.

Sherry will be forever cherished and deeply missed by her parents; her son Zachary of Fredericton; her sister Stephanie Young of Miramichi; her grandmothers Theresa Young and Phyllis Lynch, both of Miramichi; three nephews Blace, Jonah, and Samson; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sherry was predeceased by her brother Steven Young; her grandfathers Edward Young and Clarence Lynch; her aunt Sharon Young; and uncle Eric Wentzel.

Family meant everything to Sherry; her love for each of them filled her days with peace and joy.

She loved each of them beyond measure but her son Zachary was her pride and joy.

In recent months Sherry often talked about 'going home'; she knew her earthly body was weakening and her time was drawing closer.

She faced her death with conviction and hope, knowing that she was going to spend eternity with her heavenly Father.

Sherry's trust and faith in God never wavered; she placed her hope in Him until her passing.

Sherry was a courageous woman who overcame her many challenges with a grace and dignity that was admired by all who knew her.

At Sherry's request, there will be a private visitation for family and close friends, held at her residence, 1 Linda Street, Miramichi, on Friday, October 19, 2018, from 2 to 8 pm.

All are welcome to attend the funeral service, on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 2 pm, at The Point Church, in Newcastle, with Reverend Kevin Matthews and Reverend Willard Watling officiating.
