Shirley Jardine, of Miramichi, wife of the late Russell Jardine, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the age of 71.

Born in Renous, she was the daughter of the late Lynn and Bertha (Curtis) Jardine. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sunny Corner Lions Club.

She will be sadly missed by her four daughters Roae (Keith Sonmor) of South Esk, Vickey (Mark Hay) of Kingston Peninsula, Ellen (Emerson Hallihan) of Moncton, and Angela (Gerald Miller) of Miramichi; four sons Jimmy of South Esk, Craig (Tracey) of Saint John, Jason of Miramichi, and Chris (Benita) of Whitney; one sister Geneva Porter of Doaktown; one brother Leonard of Ontario; 14 grandchildren April, Jeff, Casey, Leslie, Lindsay, Jarred, Declan, Amber, Keisha, Kelsey, Sierra, Jessica, Caitlyn, and Randy; seven great grandchildren Kayla, Brevan, Emma Rose, Laura, Leah, Marissa, and Cohen; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Russell, she was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at 1 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the SPCA or to a memorial of one's choice.
