Mrs. Shirley Sturgeon passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010, at the age of 66.

She was the daughter of Lorna (Jardine) and the late Leslie Sturgeon. She was a housewife and a member of St Agnes Anglican Church, in Gray Rapids.

Shirley is survived by daughter Valerie (Allison Tuzo) of Blackville; sister Cheryl (David Vickers) of White Rapids; brother Kevin Sturgeon (Lori) of Miramichi; and nephews Kyle Vickers, Ryan Vickers, and Brody Sturgeon.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband Blakely Sturgeon; and two sons Herbie and Keith Sturgeon.

The family will receive relatives and friends from The Holy Trinity Anglican Church Slumber Room, in Blackville, on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010, from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, at 11 am, with Father Douglas Barrett officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the SPCA, or to a memorial of one's choice.
