Stephen Scott Finnamore, of Blackville., passed away peacefully at the Miramichi regional Hospital, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the age of 76.
Born in Andover, NB, he was the son of the late Percy Finnamore and Marion (Finnamore) Gallant.
Stephen enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved spending time with his family whom he loved very much.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Janice (MacDonald) Finnamore of Blackville; sons Scott Finnamore (Jodi Cogswell) of Burt's Corner and Adam Finnamore of Waasis; daughters Laurie Davidson (Arnold) of Geary, Cassandra Curtis (Ronnie) of Miramichi, and Hollie MacRae (John) of Black River; sister Maxine Pirie (Late William) of Gladwyn; brothers Stewart Finnamore (Late Jeannette) of Fredericton, Leslie Finnamore (Beryl) of Fredericton, Allan Finnamore (Penny) of Nashwaak Bridge, and Bruce Finnamore (Sharon) of Hanwell; brothers-in-law Ronald (Jody) MacDonald of White Rapids, Glen Schofield (Arden) of Toronto, and Joe Spencer of Fredericton; nine grandchildren Jonah, Corey, Stephen, Shelby, Megan, Keira, Landon, Madison, and Kennedy; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Sterling Finnamore; sister Mary Jean Spencer; and grandson Harley Savoie.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Blackville, on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 2 to 5 pm. The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11 am, with Father Gerry Laskey officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Glen Cemetery, at a later date.
