Mr. Sterling Manderville, husband of Edna Manderville, of Miramichi, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 75.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Annie (Bryenton) Manderville. He had a lengthy career with Repap Pulp & Paper Mill and retired as an operations manager from the Alcell Plant in Miramichi.
He was a member of the Northumberland Lodge No.17, Miramichi Shriner's, and a member of St Peter's Anglican Church, in Millerton.
Sterling is survived by his wife Edna (Flett) of Miramichi; three daughters Gay McKinnon (Rusty) of Miramichi, Dawn Waye (Steven) of South Esk, and Beth Rossit (Gino) of Miramichi; two sons Bruce (Keltie) of Miramichi, and Jim of Toronto, ON; two sisters Janet Manderville of Millerton, and Paula Cassidy (Phil) of Derby; two brothers Kenneth Manderville (Florence) of Derby, and Gilbert Manderville (Carlene) of Bryenton; ten grandchildren; two great granchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held from St Peter's Anglican Church, on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at 11 am, with Father Laskey officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
Please note, the Northumberland Lodge No. 17 F.&A.M. are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 6:30 pm, for a Masonic Service.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Shriner's Facts and Figures Unit, the Tree of Hope Campaign (for the Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge in Moncton), or to a memorial of one's choice.
