1935-2011
Mrs. Theresa Carter, of Fredericton, formerly of Millerton, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.
Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Row) Carew. Theresa, together with her husband, Murray Carter, owned Miramichi Travel Agency. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church and of her Bridge Club.
She is survived by her husband Murray; three daughters Elizabeth (Jim Hennessy) of Calgary, AB, Margaret of Moncton, NB, and Barbara (George Porter) of Fredericton, NB; one son Allan of Millerton; three sisters Virgie Dinan of Miramichi, Jenny Robinson (Jim) of Ontario, and Patsy Kennedy (Len) of Miramichi; two brothers Ray Carew (Gail) of Miramichi, and Frank Carew (Shirley) of Vancouver, BC; nine grandchildren Amanda, Jennifer, Maura, Carter, Carl, Rebecca, Mark, Seth, and Isaac; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters Mary Kelly, and Donna Myles. The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, March 4, 2011, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2011, from Grace Presbyterian Church, at 2 pm, with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating.
