Theresa MacIntosh

It is with deep love and sadness that the family of Theresa Hazel MacIntosh announces her peaceful passing on April 24, 2025, at Percy’s Place Hospice, where she received extraordinary care and compassion in her final days.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on June 23, 1952, Theresa was the youngest daughter of George and Edna Buckley. She shared 48 years of marriage with her devoted husband, William (Bill) MacIntosh, building a life rooted in family, faith, music, and kindness.

She is survived by her brother Steven (late Claudette) Buckley and was predeceased by her sister Ann Marie (Vince) Costello. Theresa leaves behind her four sons — David (Mara), Peter (Sylvie), Paul (Kathy), and Johnathan (Shanna) — and her nine beloved grandchildren: Andrew, Torri, Lachlan, Reese, Ava, Will, Kinnon, Madeline, and Kyah, as well as her cherished great-granddaughter, Marlie.

Theresa was a gifted artist, musician, and beloved piano teacher. An incredible vocalist, she sang in many choirs, notably at St. Michael’s Basilica, where her angelic soprano voice was a familiar and beautiful presence. She directed a children’s choir at St. Margaret’s Church. Theresa was passionate about sharing her gifts with others, especially children.

Theresa will be remembered for her deep, unwavering faith, creativity, compassion, and kindness.

Visitation will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Tuesday, April 29, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral mass at 4:00 p.m., at St. Michael’s Basilica. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
