  • Mrs. Treva Beatrice Jardine, wife of the late Weldon Jardine, of Nordin, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, at the age of 92.

    Born in Nordin, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Adavilla (Johnson) Russell. She was a member of St Mark's United Church and of the Ever True Rebecca Lodge #65.

    She is survived by her daughter Katherine of Port Williams, NS; one son John (Anne) of Nordin; three sisters Evelyn O'Rilley of Halifax,NS,, Bernice Stewart of Chatham, and Alma Vautour of Miramichi; and three grandchildren Lindsay Jardine of Miramichi, Jonathan Smith, and Andrew Smith both of Calgary.

    Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers Ellis, Hugh, and Stafford, and four sisters Jessie, Vera, Maria, and Edith.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2011, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

    Please note, members of Ever True Rebecca Lodge #65 and Silver Link Rebecca Lodge #61 are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 pm for a memorial service.

    The funeral service will be held from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturdday, July 9, 2011, at 2 pm, with Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow at St Mark's United Cemetery, in Douglastown.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
