  • Twila Dawn (Connors) Donohue, of Blackville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the age of 56.

Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of Phyllis (Peterson) and the late Alonzo Connors.

She will be deeply grieved by her loving husband Troy Donohue of Blackville; three sons Mitchell (Courtney Granter) of Middle Sackville, NS, Tristen of Vancouver, BC, and Garett (Piper Duffy) of Blackville; two sisters Sharon Turriff (Terry) of Riverview and Joy Furlong (Late Louis) of Doaktown; two brothers Eugene Connors (Linda) and Troy Connors both of Upper Blackville; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her sister Lorenda Furlong.

Twila was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her positivity radiated through her personality and interactions with everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She spent her entire life in Blackville, and her love for her community was incredibly important to her. She was the rock and centerpiece of the Donohue family for over 30 years; a beautiful thread that held together a family of all boys, who owe her a lifetime of gratitude.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Twila’s home, 11 Coburn Lane, Blackville, on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm and on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm. Out of respect for Twila's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA.

Arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St, telephone (506) 622-7741
