Vera Ann (Hanley) Waye, of Nelson, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 77.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Gertrude (Robichaud) Hanley. She worked as a waitress and a cook, as well as being a homemaker, and was a member of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, in Nelson.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Donna Marie Waye of Vancouver,BC; four sisters Cora of Toronto,ON, Angela (Angie) of Truro,NS, Donna of Toronto,ON, and Carolyn of Barnaby,NB;and three brothers Frank of Brampton,ON, Carl of Moncton,NB, and Roy of Miramichi,NB.

Besides her parents, Vera was predeceased by her husband Clayton Waye, her son Kevin Joseph Hanley, two sisters Evelyn and Yvonne, and two brothers Ken and Bill.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at 2 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Jim McQuade officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or to a memorial of one's choice.
