Wayne Manderson, of Red Bank, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011, at the MIramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 69.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late John and Eileen (Carroll) Manderson. He worked as a taxi driver before his retirement and was a member of St Thomas Roman Catholic Church, in Red Bank.
He is survived by his wife Lynn (Gillis); one son Jason (Brandi) of Moncton; two sisters Mary Manderson and Arlene Duguay, both of Miramichi; two brothers Carl (Leila) and Michael, both of Miramichi; two sister-in-laws Barb (Gary) Matchett of Red Bank and Carolyn Gillis of Fredericton; two brother-in-laws Steve Gillis (Debbie) of Quispamsis and John Gillis (Cathy) of Fredericton; two grandchildren Breanna and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew Christopher Manderson and his niece Sherilyn Manderson.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 11 am, from St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, in Red Bank, with Father Dan Melanson officiating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, or to a memorial of one's choice.
