William R. Savoy, of Miramichi, passed away at his residence, on Friday, July 5, 2013, at the age of 59.

Born in Doaktown, he was the son of MacWilliam and Daisy (Wotherspoon) Savoy. He was a construction worker in Cheticamp, Cape Breton, and also worked with Standard Auto, in Miramichi.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, MacWilliam and Daisy Savoy of Miramichi; his daughter Carrie Keoughan (Shannon) of Saint John; his son David Savoy of Petawawa, ON; his sister Lorna (Jacky Deveau) of Yellowknife, NT; three grandchildren Brianna Keoughan, Bethany Keoughan, and Rosa Dawn Savoy; and two nephews Ryan and Kyle Deveau.

A graveside service will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 2 pm, from Riverside Cemetery, in Tabusintac, with Rev. Gillis Smith officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, St James Presbyterian Church, or to a memorial of one's choice.
