William Calvis Walsh, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 70.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Calvis and Susan (McLeod) Walsh. He worked in sales and was the General Manager of Ford. He lived in Vancouver where he raised his family, and returned to the Miramichi when he retired. He was a member of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.
William (Bill) loved being with family and friends. He was outgoing, friendly, and always quick to lend a hand. Always the life of the party, whether singing, dancing, or telling one of his famous jokes. William loved his home and the door was always open. He was well known in the local business where he made many friends. We will miss his humour, charm, and million dollar smile.
He will be greatly missed by his four daughters Melissa Walsh of Nanaimo, BC, Melanie Walsh (Ryan) of Sechelt, BC, Katy Walsh of Surrey BC and Kelsey Walsh of Surrey BC; former spouse Kelly Walsh of Surrey BC; four sisters Donna Dubroy (Ken) of Barrie, ON, Judy Anne Brazeau of Timmins, ON, Cathy Cross (Matt) of Powassan, ON, and Tania Walsh (Dave) of Guelph; three grandchildren Meadow Curry, Preston Peters, and Ava Peters; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Art Walsh; and two sisters Shirley Walsh and Mary Turmelle.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11am, with Father Anthony Das Papu officiating.
Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
