Wilmot Gordon Harding, of Tabusintac, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the age of 94.
Born in Cains Point, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Lydia Harding. He worked as a farmer, woodsman, and labourer and remained active throughout his retirement. Wilmot was also a Guide every spring and fall for years on the Tabusintac River.
He was a member of St Andrew's United Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 47, and was on the Riverside Cemetery Committee.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Evelyn Mae (Bell) Harding; his daughter Edna Savoie (Roger) of Charters Settlement, NB; two sons Howard of Scarborough, ON and Laurie (Haidee) of Lloydminster, AB; three grandchildren Natalie, Celeste (Colin) and Jasmine (Medhi); two great grandchildren Ilyas and Evelyn; sisters-in-law Calma, Margie (Weldon), Mary (Bill), Edna (Paul), Loretta (Ronnie), Dorothy, and Geri; brother-in-law Lloyd (Jocelyne); and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Kenneth; sisters Edna Mae and Hamlyn; brothers Earl, Gerald, Roy, Lorne, Chesley, Reginald, and John; sisters-in-law Muriel, Ruth and Lucy; and brothers-in-law Jimmy, Robert, and Alan.
A graveside service will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac, on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11 am.
